Curtis Tarr Papers

Scope and Contents This collection consists of the personal papers of Curtis Tarr, the twelfth president of Lawrence University. The papers are comprehensive, including a daily journal that Tarr maintained from 1964 to 1989 and correspondence sent and received from 1941 to 1997. Drawings in pen by Tarr as well as other writings are also included.

Scope and Contents This collection is composed of the papers of Curtis Tarr, President of Lawrence University from 1963 to 1969. The collection primarily documents Tarr's presidency from his selection through his departure, though some articles related to his work after leaving Lawrence are included. Materials include articles and biographical information, photographs, calendars, correspondence sent and received, documentation of his installation, and his speeches and writings.

Scope and Contents This series of bound volumes contains records of the Office of the President dating from 1954 to 1978, during the tenures of Presidents Knight, Tarr, and Smith. Correspondence and minutes from the Associated Colleges of the Midwest and the Wisconsin Foundation of Independent Colleges are also included.
